Rosstat: final consumption expenditures in Russia's GDP fell to 66%

Final consumption expenditures in the structure of the use of Russian GDP in the second quarter of 2022 decreased to 66% from 69.9% in the second quarter of 2021. This is evidenced data Rosstat.

The share of household spending over the same period decreased to 47.1% of GDP against 50.6% of GDP. Public administration spending fell to 18.2% of GDP against 18.6% of GDP. Spending by non-profit organizations and service households remained at the level of 0.7% of GDP.

The share of gross capital formation in the second quarter of 2022 decreased to 18.5% of GDP against 21.6% in the second quarter of 2021. Gross fixed capital formation increased from 17.6% to 18.1%, while the change in inventories fell from 4% to 0.4%. The share of net exports rose to 15.5% of GDP against 8.5% of GDP in the same period last year.

“The volume of Russia’s GDP for the second quarter of 2022 amounted to 34,663.6 billion rubles at current prices. The index of its physical volume relative to the second quarter of 2021 amounted to 95.9%, relative to the first quarter of 2022 – 100.6%. The GDP deflator index for the second quarter of 2022 in relation to the prices of the second quarter of 2021 amounted to 117.0%, in relation to the prices of the first quarter of 2022 – 99.5%,” the Rosstat report says.
