Separately, the ingredients prohibited in the smoking mixture are indicated.
A new GOST has appeared in Russia for the production and sale of non-tobacco mixture for heating. We are talking about fillers that are used for smoking hookahs. The document spelled out exactly which components are allowed for the manufacture of the product.
As MK found out, Rosstandart approved GOST for non-tobacco mixtures for heating, which can be inhaled using a hookah or other special devices. They may or may not contain nicotine. The manufacturing technology does not allow the presence of nicotine in the product in a mass fraction of more than 3.5%. It is also forbidden to use plants containing narcotic or psychotropic substances as raw materials. The ingredients can be black and green tea, white sugar, citric acid, natural honey, beet pulp, etc.
The manufacturer is obliged to label the packaging with information whether this product contains nicotine or not, as well as information about the proportion of nicotine, if present. If the mixture contains nicotine, the entrepreneur must place a warning on the package with an area of at least 30% that the substance is addictive and harmful to health. In the absence of nicotine, the manufacturer must indicate on the packaging that this product can still be harmful to health.
The document also prescribed a separate list of ingredients that are prohibited from being used to make a smoking mixture. The stop list includes aromatic substances made from camphor tree, soap tree bark, centipede root, woodruff, etc. In addition, it is not allowed to add birch and juniper, tar oil, camphor oil, bitter almond oil, etc. to the product.
