“Very serious” conditions and complications can give swine flu, said the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova. In this regard, she recommended that Russians consult a doctor if they feel worse.
“The insidious flu, and it gives very serious complications, and can develop rapidly, and give very serious conditions, and, of course, it is very contagious,” Ms. Popova said on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24”.
She also cited statistics that over 98% of swine flu patients this year were not vaccinated (in total, 52% of Russian residents were vaccinated against influenza).
Yesterday, Rospotrebnadzor reported identifying swine flu in all regions of Russia. Earlier, the service recommended that Muscovites wear masks in public places.
