Rospotrebnadzor does not plan to introduce restrictive measures amid the growing incidence of coronavirus. Restrictions can be introduced in institutions, but there is no reason for a general mask regime. The press service of the department reported this.
According to Rospotrebnadzor, over the past week, about 11.5 thousand patients with COVID-19 have been registered, most of them carry the Omicron strain. The report notes that the increase in incidence this week is associated with the autumn period.
“This is due to the colder weather and the fact that people return from vacation, schoolchildren from vacation, and spend a lot of time in groups where there is an active exchange of infections,” the report says (quoted from “Interfax”).
At the end of August, the incidence of coronavirus began to increase in Russia and the world. Against this background, restrictions against the spread of the virus were restored in the Government House of the Russian Federation from September 18. The day before, Rospotrebnadzor reported that the new variant of the coronavirus “Pyrola” is more contagious than “Omicron”.
