The incidence of influenza and SARS in Russia decreased by 8% over the week, coronavirus – by 11%. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of Rospotrebnadzor.
“The incidence of influenza and SARS has decreased by almost 8% compared to last week, 604,000 cases have been registered,” the ministry said. The incidence of coronavirus for the week fell by 11% to 39.7 thousand cases.
At the same time, subvariants of the Omicron strain remain predominant. The share of influenza viruses among circulating respiratory viruses has also decreased: today it is 22.7%.
As before wrote Kommersant, in December and January, the incidence of SARS and influenza significantly exceeded the figures for the 2020-2021 seasons. However, the share of SARS-CoV2 coronavirus in ARVI was less than 9% and continues to decline.
In addition, the mortality rate from the “new” coronavirus has also dropped significantly: in March it did not exceed 0.4%. Experts consider: such indicators allow us to assert that last winter the world in terms of SARS almost returned to the pre-Covid era.
