Rospotrebnadzor said that the risk of the spread of dengue fever in Russia remains at a minimum level. According to the agency, now the country simply does not have suitable conditions for carriers of the infection.
The press service of Rospotrebnadzor also emphasized that dengue fever is not transmitted directly from person to person.
Recall that in the first month of 2023 in Russia there were only three cases of dengue fever: two in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and one in Tatarstan. All these cases of the disease, noted in the department, are imported.
However, Rospotrebnadzor has specifically warned Russians who are traveling to countries with dengue fever to check for mosquito nets on windows, use mosquito spray and wear long sleeves.
