Rospotrebnadzor canceled the questionnaire about the coronavirus for those who arrive from abroad in Russia. Decree this was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
Also, according to the decree, selective testing for coronavirus will be carried out among those who came to Russia from countries where the epidemiological situation is deteriorating. Previously, such testing could be carried out on flights from any country.
In October 2022, the mandatory COVID-19 test was canceled for Russian citizens when returning to the country from abroad. Those who returned to Russia by plane or water transport had to fill out questionnaires on the Gosuslugi portal.
On August 10, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the rapid worldwide spread of a new variant EG.5 “Eris” of the COVID-19 omicron strain. The WHO believes that the new option does not pose a great risk to the population “on a global level.” In Rospotrebnadzor reportedthat 17 cases of infection with this variant of COVID-19 were detected in Russia.
