Rospotrebnadzor banned the production of dairy products after the mass poisoning of children in Orsk

Rospotrebnadzor has drawn up a protocol on a temporary ban on the production and sale of products from the Novotroitsk Dairy Plant. Yogurt from this plant is considered a source of poisoning for 36 children from kindergartens in Orsk, the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor reported.
According to press release, a sanitary and epidemiological examination of the dairy is being carried out. As part of it, a laboratory examination of personnel was organized, as well as sampling of dairy products, washings from environmental objects, and drinking water. The investigation is under the control of the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova.
“In relation to the legal entity, a protocol was drawn up on a temporary ban on the production and sale of dairy products. Deliveries of all products from the enterprise have been suspended both to social institutions and to the retail network until all the circumstances are clarified,” the department said.
Local media With reference to the Minister of Health of the Orenburg Region, Tatyana Savinova, they write that yogurt became the cause of the poisoning.
Ambulance crews in Orsk 36 times went out to calls to children of three to six years old with the same symptoms of poisoning. To hospitals hit nine children, their lives are not in danger, said the governor of the Orenburg region Denis Pasler. The mayor’s office said that the preliminary diagnosis was food poisoning. Educational organizations against the backdrop of the incident were ordered to temporarily change suppliers.
