Rospotrebnadzor announced additional measures to prevent plague

Rospotrebnadzor recommended that the regions be ready to take measures to prevent plague. This is stated in the decision of the chief state sanitary doctor, head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova.

Among the proposed department measures:

• checking the readiness of the hospital base;
• audit of stocks of medical and diagnostic preparations;
• conducting exercises with the processing of algorithms for interdepartmental interaction;
• ensuring the readiness of special anti-epidemic teams;
• the possibility of prompt laboratory testing for plague;
• instructing employees of the transport system on personal prevention measures.
