Rosobrnadzor will involve the Prosecutor General’s Office in the work against the bureaucratic burden on teachers

In the spring, a map of overbureaucratized regions in the field of work of school teachers will appear in Russia, said Anzor Muzaev, head of Rosobrnadzor. It will indicate the number of complaints, the results of anonymous opinion polls. They plan to involve the Prosecutor General’s Office in the fight against bureaucracy.

“Already personally with the heads of the subjects, we will work out the history, revise all the mail that enters the school, and determine the sources of evil, who writes and makes them write. Of course, we will also involve the Prosecutor General’s Office here,” Mr. Muzaev told reporters (quoted by TASS).

The head of Rosobrnadzor said that the task for the department in the next two years is “just to burn all this in the bud with a red-hot iron, all these initiatives that fall from above on schools, or directors who can’t wean themselves and try to stock up on paper for the future.” According to him, measures will be taken against managers, school principals, up to and including dismissal.

Mr. Muzaev spoke about the results of a survey among 17,000 teachers in 89 regions, which was conducted in December. 73.4% of participants reported that they did not notice a reduction in the paperwork load in the 2022-2023 academic year. More than 80% of teachers are aware of the reporting regulations.

In the summer, the Ministry of Education developed a list of documents that a teacher is required to fill out. Compared to the previous version, the list has been reduced from 11 to five items, of which only two are mandatory for everyone.
