Rosobrnadzor introduced the Russian testing system Lingvotest

The Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science presented the Russian language testing system Lingvotest, which should replace the foreign IELTS and TOEFL testing systems – they are now inaccessible to Russian citizens. The Lingvotest system allows you to confirm the level of English proficiency for business and academic communication.
So far, testing is only possible in English. But, as HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov noted, it is planned not only to develop the Lingvotest system, but also to increase the number of foreign languages, add a test for the level of proficiency in Russian as a foreign language, and also distribute this domestic system throughout the country and beyond.
Upon completion of the test, each participant will receive a perpetual certificate with the results of English proficiency affixed to it, which has a unique identification number. It will be entered into the register of the Federal Accreditation Agency. By the way, unlike foreign counterparts, all personal data of those who pass the test will be stored in Russia.
The first, pilot testing, has already been carried out. According to Lemka Izmailova, director of the Russian Accreditation Agency, they are very pleased with the results of the first test, as the participants showed good results.
