Rosmolodezh allocated 120 million rubles for students of Donbass

The Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of the Russian Federation (Rosmolodezh) will allocate about 120 million rubles. students, beginners and volunteers of Donbass. This was announced today, September 2, by the head of the department, Ksenia Razuvaeva. Support will be provided in the form of grants, the purpose of which, among other things, is to restore destroyed territories and infrastructure.

“We are also responsible for the formation of humanitarian missions together with our volunteer organizations, we work with children, we collect humanitarian aid,” said Ms. Razuvaeva. “Today we have joined the work related to the restoration of facilities. We have volunteer teachers there who have been preparing children for school during the summer months, environmental volunteers are working.”

The statement was made during one of the sessions of the ecological forum “Ecosystem”, which is currently taking place in Kamchatka. Speaking to students and young professionals from all over Russia, the head of Rosmolodezh expressed her hope that many of the forum participants would be able to join the work of the agency in the Donbass, “will agree to go there and help restore the ecosystem.”

At the same time, according to Ms. Razuvaeva, young people can be motivated to join social projects only by creating a “comfortable friendly environment”: “I’m not talking about materialism, but about an environment in which you have like-minded people, where you are heard, where you can influence to resolve various issues. We record the outflow of the young population from the Far East, but why is this happening? Because in big cities there is such an environment.”

Recall that the Ecosystem Forum is being held for the second time. Last year it was held in the Vologda Oblast, and in 2022 the forum was divided into two stages – the first was also held in Cherepovets, the second was moved to Kamchatka. Now about 4 thousand people participate in the forum – in person and online, mainly students, young professionals and entrepreneurs. Most of them participate in the competition of environmental projects and count on grants up to 1.5 million rubles. As Kommersant previously reported, grant support for forum participants will amount to 10 million rubles, they will be distributed among the authors of initiatives to preserve the environment in the regions, develop sports, regional cooperation and promote volunteerism.
