The executive director of Roskosmos, Alexander Bloshenko, said that in five years, international rules for space traffic may appear, similar to the rules that regulate the movement of vehicles in airspace.
“It can be assumed that within five years international rules for space traffic will be developed by analogy with air traffic,” Mr. Bloshenko said during a visit to South Africa (quoted by RIA Novosti).
The executive director of Roskosmos said that, according to the plans of space powers, by 2030 the number of satellites around the Earth will exceed 100 thousand. In his opinion, overcrowding of the orbit will lead to dangerous situations.
