“Roskosmos”: depressurization at the “Progress MS-21” is associated with a production violation

On February 11, the Russian spacecraft Progress MS-21 docked with the ISS, but on the same day its contour was isolated from the station due to depressurization. According to sources Izvestia in Roskosmos, the most likely cause of the incident is a violation in the production of the Russian segments of the ISS.
“I suppose we are talking about some kind of deviation from the technology – a slightly different material, a slightly different production conditions, a different operator,” the source said. Another Izvestia source believes that the problem could be in the design of thermal control.
Yesterday the head of Roskosmos Yuri Borisov saidthat damage to Progress-21 could have been caused by external impact by a meteorite or space debris.
This is the second such incident in the Russian cosmonautics over the past two months. On December 15, there was a depressurization of the outer radiator circuit of the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft, on which a coolant leak occurred. He will return to Earth in March.
