Roskosmos published a snapshot of the damage to the cargo ship Progress MS-21, in which the thermal control system was depressurized after the manned Soyuz MS-22. As it turned out, the hole was many times larger.
Pictures posted in Telegram– channel of the state corporation. According to the information given, the hole in the truck’s radiator is about 12 millimeters in diameter, which is larger than it was with a similar damage to the Soyuz MS-22.
The day before, the Director General of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, said that the hole from the micrometeorite in the Soyuz is no more than 0.8 millimeters.
Two very similar emergency situations happened on the ISS in two months. On December 15, as a result of a micrometeorite hit, the cooling system of the Soyuz MS-22 manned spacecraft was depressurized. On February 11 of this year, it was reported about the depressurization of the thermal control system on another ship – the Progress MS-21 cargo vehicle.
