Roskosmos announced a depressurization in the Progress MS-21 cargo ship

The Progress MS-21 cargo ship, which is due to complete its flight as part of the International Space Station (ISS) next week, has been depressurized, nothing threatens the crew, reported in the press service of Roskosmos.

“Specialists of the Mission Control Center near Moscow recorded a depressurization in the Progress MS-21 cargo ship, which is scheduled to undock from the ISS on February 18, using telemetric information,” the state corporation said on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that the passage hatch to the ship is closed, Progress MS-21 is isolated from the total volume of the station, and all equipment planned for removal is in the ship. According to Roskosmos, the temperature regime and pressure on board the ISS are normal, nothing threatens the life and health of the crew. The press service added that the incident did not affect the docking with the ISS Progress MS-22 and will not affect the further flight program of the station. The reasons for the depressurization are being investigated.

Previously in the state corporation reportedthat the Progress MS-22 cargo ship, launched on February 9 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome by the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket, automatically docked to the Russian service module Zvezda at 11:45:21 Moscow time.

The ship, as noted, delivered 2,534 kg of cargo to the ISS, including 720 kg of fuel for refueling the station, 420 liters of drinking water, 40 kg of nitrogen and 1,354 kg of various equipment and materials, including resource equipment for the systems of the Russian segment of the ISS, medical supplies and personal protective equipment, clothing and products.
