The Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Main Radio Frequency Center” (GRCHTs), subordinated to Roskomnadzor, is conducting internal tests of the Vepr information bomb detection system, a representative of the GRCHTs told Vedomosti. “The development of the Vepr information system has been underway since 2022. To date, the first modules of the system are undergoing internal testing, the launch is scheduled for the second half of 2023,” he said.
The system is being developed for Roskomnadzor by the St. Petersburg developer of IT solutions Neobit, which has been under US sanctions since 2021, according to the tender documentation of the GRFC. Among the already implemented projects are the system in the form of a flash card “Infoscalpel” for deleting residual information from the memory of video conferencing equipment, the device for cryptographic data protection on flash drives “Flashcryptor” and the secure hybrid operating system “Febos”, indicated on the website of the company that develops technological solutions for the FSB, the Ministry of Defense and other departments.
