Roskomnadzor is checking information about a possible leak of personal data from the website of the Big Change competition, will report TASS with reference to the department.

“Roskomnadzor is conducting an audit in connection with information about a possible leakage of personal data from the website of the all-Russian contest “Big Change”,” the department said.

The Telegram channel “Information Leaks” reported on July 11 that personal data of students and teachers could have been made publicly available from the database of the “Big Change” competition. The network allegedly got 3.4 million phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, citizenship and place of work or study of site users. The channel clarifies that the information was leaked in six text files, which contain more than 5.27 million lines. The leaked email addresses are valid, the channel says.

July 6 Roskomnadzor informed on checking information about a possible leak of personal data in the Artek camp, specifying that the personal data operator had already informed the agency about the incident. Before that, “Information Leaks” wrote that the data of children and parents, allegedly taken from the base of the camp, appeared in the public domain.
