Roscosmos may start placing advertising on spaceships

The Roscosmos State Corporation may receive the right to place advertising on space technology and space infrastructure facilities. The corresponding bill was registered in the State Duma’s electronic database on October 23. The authors of the initiative are senators Pavel Tarakanov (Tyumen region) and Konstantin Dolgov (Murmansk region), as well as a group of State Duma deputies from the United Russia faction, including Denis Kravchenko, Maxim Topilin, Sergei Boyarsky, Artem Kiryanov and others.

According to the document, it is proposed to make changes regarding advertising activities to the law on the state corporation Roscosmos. Rates for advertisers will be approved by the government. Roscosmos itself will conclude advertising contracts, while placements at infrastructure facilities will be carried out without bidding, it is also stated there.
