“No one is leaving. And there are no such orders,” the representative office of the “daughter” of the state corporation said. Earlier, UNIAN reported about the reduction in the presence of specialists from Russia at the station, citing data from the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
According to the Ukrainian agency, three employees of Rosatom allegedly left ZNPP, and workers from Ukraine who signed contracts with the corporation were recommended to leave the plant before July 5.
Today, June 30, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov named “pure lies” information about the allegedly impending provocation of Russia at the ZNPP. The minister added that on June 29, at a meeting of the UN Security Council, the Russian Federation again circulated an official document in which it expressed concern over provocations by Ukraine. Lavrov stressed that IAEA experts and the agency’s director general Rafael Grossi “know perfectly well who is shelling” the Zaporizhzhya NPP.
Zaporozhye NPP has been under Russian control since the end of February 2022. Since then, the plant and the city of Energodar, where it is located, have been subjected to regular shelling by Ukraine. In early September last year, an IAEA mission arrived at ZNPP. The organization called for an end to the attacks on the station and the establishment of a safe zone around it.
