Romanian Foreign Ministry demanded to reduce the staff of the Russian embassy by 51 people

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania announced the decision of the Romanian authorities to reduce the number of employees of the Russian Embassy by 51 employees.
As noted in a statement published on the agency’s website, Romania demanded that the number of diplomats and technical and administrative staff of the Russian mission be brought to a level close to the number of the Romanian embassy in Moscow.
The document says that the Russian ambassador has already been notified of the decision and the period of 30 days, during which it must be implemented.
Thus, Russia should cut 51 employees: 21 diplomats and 30 technical and administrative staff, leaving 11 diplomats and 29 employees. Moscow has already promised to give an appropriate response to this decision.
