Romania denied the fall of a Russian drone on its territory

Reports that a Russian drone fell in one of the Romanian forests are not true. This statement was made on Thursday, August 3, by the Ministry of Defense of Romania.
The agency commented on the statement of the head of the commune of Catalkioi in Tulcea that after the morning drone attack on the port of Izmail in Ukraine, drones allegedly flew over the houses of Romanian residents and fell in the local forest.
The ministry said that an operational-investigative group went to the specified area, but they “did not find anything that could confirm the information that appeared in the public space.”
The Romanian Ministry of Defense stressed that not a single drone belonging to another state appeared in the airspace of the country.
Meanwhile, the scandal under the pretext of violating the airspace continues to unwind Poland. They said that the Polish border was violated by helicopters guarding the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Minsk denied these reports, calling Warsaw’s accusations an attempt to justify increased militarization in the border region.
Following this, General Marek Sokolowski, at a meeting with Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blashak, said that Polish combat helicopter pilots deployed to the border with Belarus would not hesitate to use weapons, if a dangerous situation arises.
