A protocol was drawn up against the former mayor of Yekaterinburg, Yevgeny Roizman (included in the list of foreign agents), on the propaganda of extremist symbols.
According to Vladislav Idamzhapov, Roizman’s lawyer, the police drew up a protocol under Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (“Propaganda or public display of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols, or paraphernalia or symbols of extremist organizations”).
After Roizman was detained by the police, Idamzhapov suggested that the reason was a repost in the Yevgeny Roizman group on VKontakte. Idamzhapov claims that the former mayor is not registered on VKontakte and has nothing to do with the group.
Previously it was reported that the investigation of the criminal case against Roizman on discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is completed. Consideration on the merits could begin by the end of March.
