The ex-head of Roskosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, underwent surgery after being injured in Donetsk. He had a fragment removed from his cervical vertebrae, his assistant said.
“Dmitry Olegovich underwent a complex operation to remove a fragment of Ukrainian ammunition from the region of the cervical vertebra,” he said.
According to him, Rogozin is on the mend.
Earlier it was reported that Rogozin was wounded during the shelling of a hotel in Donetsk. His assistant said that a fragment of a mine that hit the back is unrecoverable. The ex-head of Roskosmos himself said that he “will live.” He was first taken to Rostov-on-Don, then to one of the hospitals in the Moscow region.
It is also known that two people were killed during the shelling of the hotel.
