In the Zaporozhye direction, the Ukrainian military began to massively use adjustable bombs, said Dmitry Rogozin, head of the military-technical center Tsarskie Wolves, former head of Roscosmos.

A subdivision of the center participates in combat missions in this sector of the front.

“Aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to strike at our positions with bombs of the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) type. These are air bombs, retrofitted with an aerodynamic kit with GPS guidance. Their weight is from 230 to 960 kg,” Rogozin wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to the head of the center, bombs are dropped at a distance of 40 to 75 km from the target.

Earlier in Ukraine, they began to use cluster munitions supplied by the United States. In August, the Ukrainian authorities handed over to Washington the first report on their use, and Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said that Kyiv was using weapons “properly.”

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu after that saidthat Russia does not use cluster munitions during the special operation for humanitarian reasons, and admitted that this approach could be reconsidered.
