Rogov: Ukrainian security forces can storm the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra before the end of the week

The assault on the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra by Ukrainian security forces may take place until Saturday morning or over the weekend. This opinion was expressed in an interview with TASS by a representative of the administration of the Zaporozhye region Vladimir Rogov.
According to the official, the likelihood of an assault over the weekend will increase due to the fact that attention to what is happening in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra may weaken. This is what the Ukrainian security forces will try to take advantage of. Therefore, according to Rogov, it is not worth relaxing.
Earlier, the vicar of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Pavel (Lebed), spoke about the danger of the assault on the evening of March 31 and asked to pray for a resolution of the situation. He recalled that
in recent weeks, people in the Lavra feel like they are on a powder keg.
On March 31, believers again blocked the way to the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra for members of the reserve commission for the acceptance of objects.
Earlier, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said that now Kiev has the opportunity to liquidate the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, “physically cleaning up” the clergy. Vladimir Rogov, a representative of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, said that such tough statements by the Ukrainian authorities even fall under the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
