The head of the Zaporozhye public movement “We are together with Russia,” Vladimir Rogov, said that assault groups of Ukrainian troops in the area of the village of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region were repulsed by the Russian army, RIA Novosti reports. According to him, several attacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces militants were repelled, and they suffered significant losses, after which they fled. Russian artillery struck the militants, causing the death toll to be in the dozens.
Rogov also noted that the soldiers of the 291st regiment performed very well, and reconnaissance quickly identified enemy positions, which were then followed up by artillery.
In addition, Rogov reported that in the Rabotino area a temporary deployment point for Ukrainian troops was destroyed, and front-line aviation attacked enemy positions with bombs.
The situation around Rabotino remains one of the most difficult on the Zaporozhye front and in the Northwestern Military District zone. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to shell the village with artillery and are trying to storm it. The settlement was almost completely destroyed. The Ukrainian army is persistently fighting for Rabotino in order to open the road to Tokmak. In the last 24 hours, Russian fighters repelled two attacks by the enemy’s 47th mechanized brigade, and also hit a concentration of manpower and equipment of the 80th air assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces west of the village of Verbovoye, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
