Rogov reported two dead and seven wounded during the shelling of the bridge near Melitopol

Two people were killed, seven were injured as a result of a Ukrainian military strike from a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) HIMARS on a bridge across the Molochnaya River in the Melitopol district of the Zaporozhye region, informed in his Telegram channel, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the regional administration.

He specified that the Ukrainian side fired three HIMARS missiles, one of them was shot down. “The blow was inflicted at the time of repair work by railway workers. In total, 9 civilians were injured. At the moment, it is known about two killed and seven wounded,” he wrote.

Formerly Rogov informedthat on the afternoon of January 29, at 12:30, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the bridge from HIMARS, where repair work was being carried out at that time.

Earlier, the official reported on the increased military activity in the Zaporozhye direction. Rogov said that the Russian military launched a local offensive on January 19. Then he added that four settlements in the Zaporozhye region had passed under the control of the Russian Federation.

On January 23, Rogov reported that Russian troops had moved their line of fire away from settlements in the region. The next day, he announced that the front line was gradually shifting to the north of the region. On January 25, the Russian military thwarted the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the region, Rogov reported. After that, he spoke about the interception of the strategic initiative in the Zaporozhye region and stated that the “general offensive” of the Russian army in the region is still ahead.
