Rogov reported on the massive shelling of the Zaporozhye region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Volodymyr Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, chairman of the movement “We are with Russia”, said that the region was subjected to massive shelling from the armed forces of Ukraine (APU).

“Zaporozhye region under massive fire from the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For one and a half hours <...> are shelling Kamenka Dneprovskaya, the village of Velyka Znamenka, Vodyany, – wrote Rogov in his Telegram channel.

He noted that about 20 hits were recorded, and specified that the shelling was carried out from 152 mm artillery.

April 22 Rogov toldthat the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are massively moving to the side of Russia in the Zaporozhye region. Then he added that such cases “have become especially frequent recently,” since “people no longer want to fight for the Zelensky regime.”

The military operation of Russia in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.

In May 2022, Rogov stated that Russian forces controlled more than 70% of the territory of the Zaporozhye region. In particular, the city of Melitopol is under the control of the RF Armed Forces.
