The grouping of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) in the Zaporozhye direction is over 100,000 people, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, chairman of the movement “We are with Russia” told RIA Novosti.

“The total grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye direction, according to our data, exceeds 100,000 militants,” said Rogov.

According to him, a “comparatively small group” is involved in the offensive itself, and the main reserves are located far from the front line and dispersed in the part of the territories of the Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk regions, which are under the control of Kiev.

Rogov in his Telegram channel also wrotethat the Ukrainian military has been carrying out “active operations of an offensive nature” for the third day at night. He explained this for several reasons.

“The first is to reduce the efficiency of our aviation, the second is to avoid losses from accurate hits by the shock company of kamikaze drones of our 42nd division. And the third is to maximize the benefits from the use of Western-supplied equipment and instruments,” he wrote.

On June 8, Rogov reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had suffered heavy losses while trying to break through the defenses in the Orekhovsky sector in the Zaporozhye region. Then he clarified that the Ukrainian servicemen were entrenched in the area of the settlement of Rabotino. Rogov noted a large accumulation of military equipment in the direction. According to him, the goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is to capture the city of Tokmak and break through to the Sea of Azov in order to “cut the land corridor to the Crimea.”
