“Energodar is under fire from militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the moment, terrorists are shelling Energodar, the city where the largest nuclear power plant in Europe is located, from NATO-style heavy artillery, ”Rogov wrote. According to him, preliminary shelling was recorded in the area of ​​the coastline.

The Kremlin spokesman said that all countries of the world need to influence Kyiv so that the Ukrainian military stops shelling the station.

Active shelling of the Zaporizhzhya NPP by the Armed Forces of Ukraine resumed on November 19 and 20. According to Renat Karchaa, Advisor to the General Director of Rosenergoatom Concern, it was fixed 15 arrivals, including special building No. 2, where fresh nuclear fuel is stored.

In this regard, the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, called for an “immediate stop” to the shelling of the station. “Whoever is behind this should stop immediately. As I have said many times, you are playing with fire,” he stressed. Grossi also said that he plans to visit Ukraine and Russia again to ensure the safety of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

During a special operation in Ukraine, the Russian military took control of a part of the Zaporozhye region, including the city of Energodar, which houses the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, the ZNPP. On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed international treaties with the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions on the admission of regions to Russia. On October 5, Putin instructed to take the plant facilities into federal ownership and create the Zaporozhye NPP Federal State Unitary Enterprise to ensure the safety of nuclear facilities.
