Russian troops repelled a new offensive attempt by the armed forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region, informed in a conversation with RIA Novosti, the chairman of the movement “We are with Russia” Vladimir Rogov.
“Almost all night south of the city of Orekhov, fierce battles continued. The offensive of the Ukrainian troops was stopped. Attack reflected. The enemy retreated and suffered disproportionate losses,” he said. Ukrainian troops failed to achieve results during the night attack, Rogov stressed.

According to him, the goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is to capture the city of Tokmak and break through to the Sea of Azov in order to “cut the land corridor to the Crimea.”

In the Zaporozhye direction in the areas of Novodanilovka and Malaya Tokmachka, the RF Armed Forces repelled two attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, south of Orekhov, Russian troops hit two concentrations of manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enemy’s reserves were also hit in the areas of the settlements of Gulyai Pole, Omelnik and Preobrazhenka in the Zaporozhye region.
