Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters told The Telegraph newspaper that he unfairly called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “gangster” in the past.
Waters said he started listening to The Duran podcast, which portrays world news from a “political realism” standpoint. After that, he changed his opinion about Vladimir Putin for the better and began to respect him more.
“Perhaps he is leading his country for the benefit of all the people of Russia,” Waters said.
Prior to this, Waters spoke at a meeting of the UN Security Council and called on the presidents of the United States, Russia and Ukraine to agree on a ceasefire in Ukraine. He noted that he does not consider Russia’s operation in Ukraine unprovoked.
