The launch of the Falcon 9 rocket with another batch of Starlink satellites was canceled due to bad weather, RIA Novosti reports citing the company.
Previously, the launch was planned for Wednesday, but also did not take place, while the decision to cancel the launch was made 5 seconds before the launch of the rocket. At that time, specific reasons for the cancellation of the launch were not reported.
Reportedly, the next opportunity to launch the rocket will be late Sunday evening local time.
Starlink is a satellite network designed to provide broadband Internet access anywhere in the world. Since 2018, the project has been implemented by SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk. To date, about 4.2 thousand Starlink devices are operating in orbit.
Earlier it was reported that Starlink is used by the Ukrainian military in combat operations, including for launching rocket and artillery strikes on civilians. On July 16, Su-34s of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed the Starlink communication station on the right bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.
