During this time, she only once risked integrating a “clean” forward into the scheme, accustomed to the fact that partners must “serve” him. This is the famous Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He turned out to be at Barcelona in 2009 as a superstar with huge expectations. However, Ibrahimovic stayed at the club for only a season, never having found his usual productivity, and left him – according to one version – without finding a common language with coach Pep Guardiola.

Meanwhile, things are going much better for Lewandowski. He seems to fit perfectly into the scheme of the current head coach Xavi. The Pole opened the scoring in the match with Real Sociedad (4:1), and then, having scored a double, helped the Catalans defeat Valladolid (4:0).

This season, the blue garnet started much more successfully than the previous one. After four rounds, Barcelona are in second position, only two points behind Real Madrid. A year ago, the Catalan club, having parted ways with its main star Lionel Messi, started extremely unsuccessfully. Throughout the first half of the season, Barcelona hung in the middle of the standings.
