Roskomnadzor has included the company that owns the service for searching for airline tickets “Aviasales” Go Travel Un Limited in the list of organizations subject to “landing” in Russia, reported press service of the department.
The Go Travel Un Limited resource distributes information in Russian, and the daily audience of the service exceeds 500,000 Russian users. In this regard, the company is subject to the “landing” law, the department emphasized.
Once included in this list, foreign companies are required to comply with the “landing” law. In particular, they must open their authorized representative offices in Russia, create an electronic feedback form with Russian users, create a personal account on the Roskomnadzor website and install the recommended traffic counter on their information resources. They must also limit access to information found to violate Russian law. For failure to comply with the requirements, violators face partial or complete blocking.
RKN periodically updates the list foreign companies subject to “landing” in Russia. In June the department contributed the list of 12 hosting providers included Amazon Web Services, Inc., Hetzner Online GmbH, Network Solutions, LLC, WPEngine, Inc. and etc.
