In Norway, the rising star of biathlon, 22-year-old Eyvind Sporaland, disappeared without a trace. Volunteers and police cannot find any trace of the athlete, only a car remains of him, Sportbox writes.
Sporaland trained in Lillehammer with one of the private biathlon teams. Experts predicted a great future for him. The athlete has already managed to win the silver of the junior championship of Norway.
The biathlete disappeared a week ago, last Sunday. On the same day, a search began for him, but no traces, except for the car, could be found.
“Currently, the brigades are being withdrawn from the Balbergkampen area, where the car of the missing was found. The police conducted systematic and thorough searches in the area, but did not find anything,” the press service of the police said.
Civil defense officers, representatives of the Red Cross, Sporaland’s teammates and just caring people are participating in the search. However, searches both in the city and outside it have so far been unsuccessful.
“We survey garages and private yards. We are looking for based on the fact that he is still alive, ”the NRK portal reports the words of local policemen.
