Riots erupt in Brussels following Belgium’s World Cup defeat

After today defeat Belgian national team in a match with the team of Morocco in the center of Brussels, riots broke out, AP reported. Fans began lighting flares in the streets and throwing bricks at cars. Protesters attacked cars passing through the streets, at least one car was set on fire.
According to the Belgian newspaper Le Soir, fans also set fire to electric scooters, road signs and traffic lights. Protesters threw furniture out of the windows of buildings and threw flares at police officers. The police had to use water cannons.
Belgium national team lost Morocco with a score of 0:2 in the match of the second round of the World Cup in Qatar. The match was played at the El Tumama Stadium in Doha.
