RIA Novosti reported on the recruitment by the United States of those who want to fight in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The United States is trying to increase the recruitment of those who want to fight on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). About it write RIA Novosti, citing a military-diplomatic source in Damascus.

“Against the background of the unsuccessful course of the armed conflict in Ukraine for the Joe Biden administration, Washington is taking additional steps to increase the recruitment of those who want to fight in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the agency quotes the interlocutor.

Thus, the RIA Novosti source decided to supplement the previously announced information about the recruitment of militants in Syria. According to him, the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is negotiating with the Kurdish self-defense units and sheikhs of a number of Arab clans. The militants, according to the interlocutor, are offered a monthly salary of $2,000.

In February, the press bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service reportedthat the US military is recruiting jihadist fighters to carry out terrorist attacks on the territory of Russia and the CIS countries. According to the agency, in January 2023, 60 militants were selected who have experience of participating in hostilities in the Middle East. Now they are being trained at the American base at Al-Tanf in Syria, according to Russian intelligence services, and may soon be abandoned on the territory of the country. It is noted that the militants were instructed to carry out terrorist attacks against diplomats, civil servants, security officials and personnel of the armed forces.

The SVR said that such actions “put Washington on a par” with international terrorist groups, and pointed to the “final loss of any moral principles” in the US security forces.
