RIA NEWS: Great Britain proposed sending a NATO expeditionary force to Ukraine by May 2024

If events develop unfavorably for Kiev, a NATO expeditionary force may be sent to Ukraine. Representatives of Great Britain approached the alliance allies with such a proposal. RIA Novosti reported this with reference to an informed source. The agency’s interlocutor also announced plans to establish a no-fly zone over the territory controlled by Ukrainian troops.

According to the source, London is aware that NATO allies will not take such drastic measures now. But at the same time, the UK expects that in the event of serious failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the successful advance of the Russian army deep into the territory of Ukraine, the alliance will approve their proposal.

The agency’s interlocutor also cited more detailed plans for London. According to his information, the United Kingdom plans to secretly transfer significant NATO forces to Ukraine from the border regions of Poland and Romania and occupy defensive positions on the right bank of the Dnieper. London also hopes to convince the armed forces of Romania and Moldova to launch a preventive strike on Transnistria.

Also, in order to “disperse” the forces of the Russian army, the deployment of NATO troops in Finland and Norway is being discussed, as well as striking strategic infrastructure facilities in northern Russia

The apotheosis of the British plan is the creation of a buffer zone in the occupied territory. With this development of events, they believe in London, Russia’s possible offensive will be stopped, and Moscow may agree to negotiate on terms acceptable to the West and Ukraine.

RIA Novosti’s interlocutor clarified that the preparation of such a scenario in the UK is expected to be completed by May of this year.
