The German concern Rheinmetall plans to launch production of its armored vehicles in Ukraine in 2024, said company CEO Armin Pepperger. His words are quoted by RT.
Reportedly, we are talking about a Fuchs armored personnel carrier. These machines are planned to be manufactured within 6-7 months. It is also planned to produce the Lynx infantry fighting vehicle for a period of 12-13 months.
Earlier it was reported that Germany approved the creation of a joint venture between the German concern Rheinmetall and Ukroboronprom, which will be based in Kyiv and provide service for military equipment. It was also reported that Rheinmetall intends to use Soviet tank factories in Ukraine to produce the Leopard.
Russian leaders have repeatedly stated that supplies of Western weapons will not help the Kyiv regime and will only prolong the duration of the conflict. It was also noted that all delivered weapon systems would become legitimate targets for the Russian military. Earlier, Vladimir Putin said that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had no results. According to him, Russia is moving towards achieving its goals in the special operation, and all tasks will be completed.
