RFU will not use Adidas uniforms in 2023

In the first quarter of 2023, the Russian Football Union (RFU) will begin cooperation with a new technical sponsor. The RFU will refuse to use the equipment of the German company Adidas.
“It’s safe to say that in 2023 we won’t have Adidas uniforms… When will the new partner be available? In the first quarter. We are currently negotiating,” he said. TASS RFU President Alexander Dyukov.
The RFU has been partnering with Adidas since 2008. The validity of the new alliance agreement with the German brand was calculated until 2026, however, on March 1, 2022, Adidas unilaterally suspended the agreement with the RFU amid the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine.
In March 2021, the Russian national football team announced a new uniform from Adidas, in which Russian athletes were supposed to open the qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup. Cooperation with football clubs from Russia in 2022 is also stopped the Nike brand, which subsequently completely left the local market.
