RFU named Zenit the best team, and Malcolm the best player of the 2022/23 season

The Bureau of the Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) approved list the best football players at the end of the 2022/2023 season. Brazilian striker Malcolm was declared the best football player for the past season, the St. Petersburg football club Zenit was declared the best team.
In addition, according to the results of the 2022/2023 season, the best coach and the best young player were announced. The championship in these categories was won by Sergei Semak (Zenith) and Sergei Pinyaev (Lokomotiv), respectively.
The RFU also presented a list of “33 best players in the Russian championship.” It included, in particular, goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev (CSKA), Ilya Lantratov (Lokomotiv) and Ilya Pomazun (Ural), right central defenders: Igor Diveev (CSKA), Rodrigao (Zenit) and Willian Rocha (CSKA), as well as left central defenders: Georgy Jikia (Spartak), Maxim Osipenko (Rostov) and Barbosa Moizes (CSKA).
Among the 33 players who are recognized as the best, according to the results of the past season, right wingers: John Cordoba (Krasnodar), Alexander Sobolev (Spartak) and Artem Dziuba (Lokomotiv), left hitters: Fedor Chalov (CSKA), Konstantin Tyukavin (Dynamo) and Nikolai Komlichenko (Rostov).
Also in the top 33 are right midfielders: Malcolm (Zenit), Ivan Oblyakov (CSKA) and Sergey Pinyaev (Lokomotiv), right central midfielders: Wilmar Barrios (Zenith), Ruslan Litvinov (Spartak) and Daniil Glebov (Rostov), left central midfielders: Eduard Spertsyan (Krasnodar), Wendel (Zenit) and Daler Kuzyaev (Zenith), as well as left midfielders: Claudinho (Zenith), Quincy Promes (Spartak) and Andrey Mostovoy (Zenith).
