agency Reuters reports that in the European Union, traders are trying to pre-purchase Russian diesel fuel before the embargo on oil products from the Russian Federation comes into force on February 5.
Based on data from the Refinitiv ship tracking service, the agency notes that this month the share of Russian diesel in total EU shipments rose to 44% compared to 39% in October. For individual unloading points, the growth is even more noticeable: for the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp storage facility in the first half of this month it amounted to 126%, the Prime agency notes.
Earlier it was reported about the revelations of the Sunday Times newspaper, which reported that the UK, despite all political statements, continues to buy Russian oil, using the opportunity to hide supplies with the help of documents in which other countries are called the country from which the raw material was received. As counted, at least 39 tankers carrying over £200 million worth of Russian oil.
