More than 100 thousand residents have already left Karabakh
A large-scale march is taking place in Yerevan this afternoon, in which at least 10 thousand people participate, in support of the ex-Secretary of State of Nagorno-Karabakh, oligarch and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, detained by Azerbaijan.
People on the streets demand that the Armenian authorities make every effort to release all Armenian citizens detained in Nagorno-Karabakh. At the moment, almost several former leaders of the Republic of Artsakh are known to have been sent to Baku for trial. One of the last detainees was ex-assistant to the President of Artsakh, ex-head of the Republic’s Foreign Ministry David Babayan.
People marched from Matenadaran to the Matena International School, founded by Ruben Vardanyan, demanding the release of all detainees. Meanwhile, as of 2 p.m. on September 30, 100,437 residents of Karabakh had already entered Armenia. It is believed that the entire population of Nagorno-Karabakh was 120 thousand people.
