In Transcarpathia, local residents threatened military commissars with reprisals for summonses at checkpoints

Residents of Transcarpathia threatened the employees of military registration and enlistment offices with reprisals because they set up a checkpoint at which they issued summonses to men. Ukrainian media reported this.

According to the source, people are unhappy that military commissars are catching “poor people”, but they themselves are not going to go to the front.

“Now people will come here with pitchforks, we will throw stones at you,” one of the residents told representatives of the territorial recruitment center.

The incident occurred in the village of Onkivtsi near Uzhgorod. After the conflict, the military commissars, who had previously stopped a vehicle with Lviv license plates, decided to let the car through.
