Residents of the NAO can take part in the competition “Man walking”

The Walking Man walking competition has started in Russia. More than 1.2 thousand teams from all over the country registered for the competition. The project is being implemented by the Charitable Foundation of the League of Health of the Nation with the support of the Ministry of Sports of Russia within the framework of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life” of the national project “Demography”, reports the portal of state bodies of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

The team competition will be held in two stages – the preliminary stage will be held from September 10 to October 10, the main stage will be held from October 15 to November 15.

To participate in the competition, you need to assemble a team of 20–50 people in your category and register for free in the Walking Man mobile application, which provides real-time step counting for each team member, as well as generates team ratings, and select your competitive category. At the preliminary stage, everyone who has not yet managed to assemble a team can apply for the competition.

According to the established rules of the competition, no more than 25 thousand steps per day are taken into account from each participant in the team standings. Note that a team of healthy lifestyle enthusiasts (a team of informal associations of citizens) can consist of at least 10 people, and family teams of three.

The final result will be determined as the sum of the arithmetic mean results of the team for the competition days.

The team with the best result in their program will be the winner. In case of equality of indicators – the team in which there are more participants. Based on the results of the competition, winners and prize-winners will be determined, and an awards ceremony will be organized and held. The “Man Walking” competitions have become the most massive and safest competitions in 2020 and 2021 in Russia.
