Some kind of vicious circle. Now in Omsk -35 degrees. It is clear that in such frosts the gas consumption has increased, and the pipes cannot withstand it. But after all, heating in apartments, hospitals, schools – yes, in general, everywhere depends on gas.

Experts explain that due to the drop in temperature outside, gas consumption has increased, the pressure in the gas pipeline, on the contrary, is falling, as a result, there is a risk of an emergency situation at the local Tevriz gas condensate field and in the gas distribution network.

Therefore, you freeze, dear Omsk residents. As a bonus, the authorities promised not to leave without gas those residential buildings in which gas is the only source of heat, as well as “objects of the social sphere,” commented Igor Lukyanov, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region.

Governor Burkov in his TG channel also tries to justify these measures as forced. He promises to find an individual approach to each house disconnected from gas.

So far, residents of private houses are offered to be heated with wood or electricity. At the same time, the price tag of tariffs for light, of course, can grow significantly. The victims, however, are promised something there later to compensate. But at least they’ll be warm. And what about the rest?

Meanwhile, post-apocalyptic photographs of streets already deprived of gas are circulating on the Internet: hanging snow caps on the peaks of dilapidated houses, access batteries in icicles …

As it turned out, the problem did not fall unexpectedly. All of this has been going on for at least a few years.

“The problem with gas at the Tevriz field is a long-standing one. In recent years, we have invested a lot of effort and money to solve it. The forecasts of Gazprom specialists, who, at the request of the regional government, were reconstructing wells at the field, did not come true,” the governor complains.

Interesting facts are found out that, it turns out, the north of the Omsk region is still not really gasified. Here they are still waiting for “big gas” from the mainland.

In the near future, they promise to put into operation several gas distribution stations. They have been promising for over a year now. We are a gas power! And there were gas cuts before, too. But there were no such prohibitive frosts, so the people somehow endured and probably rejoiced that soon, as the authorities reported, “a very important stage in the gasification of the northern regions of the region” would come.

Omsk, of course, will suffer further. They are not pampered Europeans who freeze at zero degrees outside when it is +19 in the apartments.
