Not only residents of the republic, but also runners from 40 cities of the country took part in the marathon. Anyone could run the distance, regardless of physical fitness. Participants independently chose a distance that was comfortable for themselves: 3 km, 10.6 km, 21.1 km. Each finisher was awarded a commemorative medal about participation in the race.
Separately, the participants who came running first in their distances were noted. At a distance of 10.6 km, Evgeniy Chaplygin crossed the finish line first among men, and Alina Peschanskaya among women. The absolute winner of the “RUNURALAN” race at the longest distance of 21.1 km was Alexey Mamarin from Armavir. Moreover, this is his second victory; in 2016, he also won the Elista marathon at the same distance. Among women, the champion at 21.1 km was Lyubov Mordovina from Volgograd.
