Residents of Chukotka are invited to participate in the “Ski Track of Russia”

The All-Russian mass ski race “Ski Track of Russia-2023” will be held in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. The start is scheduled for April 15 at the same time in all municipalities of the district. In the district capital, the mass run will begin at 12:00 in the water area of the Anadyr estuary.
To participate in the competition, it is necessary to register an hour before the start, present a certificate of admission from a doctor, as well as insure life against an accident and all the necessary sports equipment. The policy can be issued for one day – the day of the competition.
The distances of the race correspond to the tests for the steps of the All-Russian sports and recreation complex “GTO”, so participants can independently register in the AIS GTO system and pass the standards. Everyone will be able to take part in the race – both professional athletes and amateurs, without age restrictions.
The shortest distance in the competition will be 200 meters, young skiers up to 6 years old will compete on it. Boys and girls aged 6 to 10 will run along the 1 km long track. The 2 km track is intended for young participants aged 11-12, as well as for women aged 40 and over, and men over 70 years old. Boys and girls 13-15 years old will run 3 km, the same distance will be for girls 16-17 years old, women from 18 to 39 years old, men whose age is from 60 to 69 years. Boys and men aged 16 and over will run the longest route – 5 km.
The participants who won prizes in the race will be awarded medals, diplomas and memorable prizes from the Ministry of Sports of Russia and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
Recall that the Ski Track of Russia has been held in the country since 1982 in order to attract labor collectives and youth to skiing, as well as to promote physical culture and a healthy lifestyle. In the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, the race has become popular among the population, for example, last year more than 1,500 residents of the region took part in the races.
